Description

Veritas installation programs

The Veritas installation programs provide a command line interface for installing and configuring SF Oracle RAC.

Use one of the following programs:

  • Common product installer (installer)

    The common product installer provides menu options for installing and configuring multiple Veritas products.

    Use this option when you want to install other products, such as the Symantec Product Authentication Service (AT), along with SF Oracle RAC.

  • SF Oracle RAC installer (installsfrac)

    The SF Oracle RAC installation script provides menu options for installing and configuring SF Oracle RAC.

    Use this option when you want to install only SF Oracle RAC.

    Note:

    If you obtained SF Oracle RAC from an electronic download site, you must use the installsfrac program instead of the common product installer.

Silent installation using response files

Silent installation uses a response file for installing and configuring SF Oracle RAC.

Solaris Jumpstart installation

The Solaris Jumpstart installation uses a Jumpstart script to install and configure SF Oracle RAC from a Jumpstart server. You can generate the Jumpstart script using one of the Veritas installation programs.
