Upgrading VCS for Windows to SFW HA

To upgrade VCS for Windows to SFW HA, your system must have VCS version 6.1 installed.

If your current installation does not meet this minimum required level, you must first perform the appropriate upgrades to meet the minimum version level required.

Note the following points before you begin to upgrade VCS:

If you plan to add the DMP DSMs during the upgrade, you must add the HBA (host bus adapter) hardware before performing the upgrade. Connect no more than one path from the new HBA to the storage array before the upgrade and DMP DSMs installation. Select the DMP DSM option or the appropriate DMP DSMs while running the installer.
